NOW OFFERING "SOULFULL ART" 4-DAY RETREAT WITH ELLIE HAROLD IN PR

SOULFULL ART
4 Day Retreat with Ellie Harold in Vieques, PR
January 27, 28, 29 , 30 (Tuesday - Friday)
Do you have a sense that Something More wants to happen in your life and art making? Do you long for a deeper expression of your innermost being? Do you want to get unstuck, to loosen up, to let go ….? A soulful art impulse may be calling you to a deeper level of creative expression!
“Soulfull Art” is an opportunity to discern the art that wants to be made by you. In a tropical setting filled with wild palms, roaming horses, and pristine beaches, this facilitated retreat offers you time and space to step back from daily routines to discover for yourself the possibilities and power within you and that are now seeking expression through you. Designed to open intuitive channels, the retreat aims to open your receptivity to guidance for next steps on your artistic journey.
The unspoiled beauty and unique culture of Vieques (a short air hop from San Juan, PR) offer an inspired setting for both introspection and art-making. (While Ellie is a painter, this is not a painting workshop, as Ellie will not be giving technique instruction.) Artists in any medium are invited to participate—painters, musicians, writers, sculptors, whatever your art—are all welcome and may benefit from the experience. Everyone is asked to bring some basic art supplies, sketchbooks, and journals and you are also encouraged to bring whatever materials/instruments, etc. you use for artistic creating.
The schedule will vary each day with a balance between group activities and elective, solo ones, including "homework" assignments. A morning group session from 9:30-11 (or so) that everyone is asked to be present for. You might choose to take an early morning beach walk alone or with Ellie. Or you might join her for an early swim/photo excursion. (Early to catch the beautiful light and avoid intense sun!) There will be a lunch break and an afternoon practice session in which to "Do Your Art," and/or exploration/photo session 2-5 (or so). Evening meals are on your own or with Ellie and her husband Roo in a local restaurant.
ACCOMMODATIONS. Casa Violeta, Ellie’s home in the fishing village of Esperanza, will serve as the retreat base; however, Casa Violeta cannot provide accommodation. You’ll make your own arrangements according to your budget—AirBandB and hotel rentals are available in Esperanza within walking distance of Casa Violeta. Or you may choose to rent a car and lodge on another part of the island or in Isabel II. You’ll have a place at Casa Violeta to set up art equipment for the duration of the retreat, use the refrigerator and microwave, etc. as needed. We can help you with logistical planning.
LIMITED USE OF MOBILE DEVICES. Use of mobile devices is discouraged for the 4 days of the retreat. To minimize distractions, you’ll be asked not to use your cell phone 9-5 to make calls, receive/send texts or emails, or use search functions. You'll be able to use your phone or iPad to take photos and process images.

About Ellie Harold. When Ellie first opened to intuitive reality at age 26, she was employed as a Registered Nurse. By age 30, while working in ICU, she received and answered an unmistakable call to ordained Unity ministry. In the first months of seminary, at age 33, she was diagnosed with a cancer condition in her mouth that was subsequently healed using spiritual methods. Three years later, following ordination, she thwarted a would-be rapist’s brutal attack with a powerful in-the-moment prayer. At 40, she went on to pioneer her own experimental, experiential church, and at 50 to confront the Catholic Church hierarchy and bring hope and healing to women who, like herself, had been molested by a priest as children. At age 52, following a second calling, she launched a painting career that over the past 23 years has reached an international audience. Over the years Ellie, now 73, has been helpful in dealing with healing childhood wounds, prosperity challenges, faith issues, and, most especially, liberating artists to create soulful. Ellie is the author of Where Two or More Are Gathered: A New Church for the 21st Century; 7 Habits of Deeply Fulfilled Artists: Your Aesthetic Needs & How to Meet Them; BIRDS FLY IN: A Human Refuge; and Monet, Mitchell & Me: A Painter’s Pilgrimage.
