Activate Your Unique Artistic Expression!

Come paint with me! Twice each summer I invite artists to paint with me in my Summer Studio in Frankfort, MI. What's so special about painting with me? Well, my background as both professional painter and spiritual growth facilitator has been shown to help artists develop their skills, derail bad habits (in the studio and out!), and create art they didn't know they had in them! If you'd like to deepen your art practice, but aren't sure what's next, working with me may be just the thing for you!

First off, the unique format I use for the Open Studio Workshop allows you to indulge your passion to paint in a safe, accepting place.  At the same time, I'm committed to creating a challenging space in which you'll explore new territory, not only in how you paint but also in your understanding of why you paint. The result of this art adventure is often a liberation from self-defeating patterns and the realization of a deeper level of authentic expression, both on the canvas and in your art life.

Given the dynamic changes occurring in my own art life in the past year, I am particularly looking forward to what we'll be sharing in this summer's Open Studio Workshops. I do hope you'll consider engaging your art at a deeper level. You can begin by reading below what several past participants have reported. Then, if you'd like to know more, please click here for more about the 2017 Open Studios. (Keep in mind that the last day to register for the June 28-30 workshop in May 31.) And, don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns.

I look forward to working with you!

Ellie

P.S. Please forward this to anyone you know who'd like some help kick-starting their art!

Back from our week in Michigan, catching up with real life again.  I want to tell you how much I enjoyed the 3-day class.  It was a great combination of inspirational discussions, followed by demonstrations which led us naturally into the painting process.  I like that this process was followed each day, giving us consistency and a means to retain and practice what we learned.  The groups size was nice – big enough for a variety of experience and styles, yet small enough for getting to know one another.  The setting, your home, was perfect and created a warm and inviting space, large enough for us to spread out and find comfortable areas in which to paint.  This workshop was the motivation I needed and has really provided me skills I didn’t have before.  Thank you!!            M.F.

I had a unique and exciting experience throughout your workshop. Dancing the dragon will begin my every painting going forward.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and beautiful home.  I enjoyed every minute of, and everyone at  your event.    K.C.

Loved, loved, loved it.  Your inspiring words makes me want to continue my painting with greater hope that I will relax and learn to love what I paint and if disappointed in a painting, I know it doesn't matter.  I can try try again, or go on to something new and different.  Thank you so much.  and - Abstract painting - who knew?????  I loved doing it.  Will certainly continue exploring.    C.N.
